How many times have you swept up your wood floors only to notice that it’s all dusty again a few minutes later? Probably more times than you care to count, right? You probably don’t notice it, but you may just be moving the dust around and not actually picking it up - so here are a few tips to get rid of it!

The cleaning instrument matters! Rather than using an old t-shirt or a broom, try using a microfiber or electrostatic cloth to capture the dust.
Wet mop or dry mop? While a wet mop will definitely clean better, water isn’t your wood floor’s best friend. We recommend using a dry mop, even though you may have to clean your floors a bit more often.
Break out the vacuum. Using a vacuum with a HEPA filter will do the trick. Anything that a duster or mop leaves behind can be tackled with a vacuum.
Stop it at the source. Believe it or not, human skin and textile fibers are two main sources of dust. But if your house seems to always be a dusty mess, check your ductwork to make sure it’s not bringing it in from outside.
