It’s time to put down the chemicals! Back in the day, almost all wood floor cleaners contained toxic chemicals - and plain water won’t do the trick. So how can you get your floors shining the safe way? You’ll need a dust mop, white vinegar and vegetable oil; that’s all!
You’ll need to remove the dust and dirt that makes your floor look dull. Areas of heavy traffic tend to attract the most dirt, so sweeping each day can help keep your floors clean.
If you have a spray bottle, white vinegar and vegetable oil you’re good to go. Mix equal parts in the bottle and spray evenly across your floors.
Once the floor is covered with the cleaning solution, mop it with a soft cloth mop.
Wipe the residue, stand back and admire your clean, shiny floors!
