Modernizing Your Home

Switching out your old fixtures and flooring to a new, modern look is something desired by many, yet executed by few. In order to create and maintain this type of look, a few things can be done in the major areas of your home, and they’re all relative to one another. Because of the vast array of materials and colors that can be combined, the possibilities are endless and can include a multitude of great combinations!

Walls

Think about the color of your walls! Are the colors outdated? If so, maybe it’s a good time to think about newer options for your room. Warmer colors can provide a number of different things for a room, one being the coziness. Pairing a brown or dark orange/red can darken the room, and when paired with lighter furniture, creates the contrast you need! Switching out for a warmer light can also help at night when you’re looking to set a mood

Flooring

Think about darker flooring! Solid & Engineered hardwood flooring provides a great deal of taste to a room that would otherwise be plain and boring. Opting for radiant heating as well can keep your little piggies warm during the winter, and eliminate the need for socks! To complement the other fixtures in your room, try pairing lighter wood with darker furniture, and darker walls. Even though the colors might be darker, light will still be able to shine through!
